History
Sheboygan's WKTS signed on the air in 1956.
In 1971, the First Sheboygan Corporation took over operations of the radio station. WKTS would be sold to Julian Ketzer's Sheboygan Broadcasting Corporation in 1977. At the time, it was a 500-watt, daytime-only radio station.
Ketzer sold WKTS in 1990. After 37 years of broadcasting, the station ended operations in January 1993.
In 2021, WKTS was revived by H.C. Prange and began reporting local news on wkts.org.
