SHEBOYGAN — Coffee lovers rejoice; there will soon be another option in Sheboygan for lattes and iced espresso.
Starbucks plans to open their fourth location in the City of Sheboygan on vacant land near Calumet Drive and North Avenue. The city’s Plan Commission approved plans to construct the new 2,230-square-foot Starbucks with a full-service drive‐thru in the North Calumet neighborhood. The café will provide indoor seating for 50 customers, with space for an additional 20 patrons in the 250-square-foot seasonal outdoor patio.
Construction is anticipated to start this fall with completion expected in spring 2022.
Dunkin’ Donuts had previously planned to open a second location on the same property which was formerly a Burger King restaurant. In 2013, Dunkin’ announced plans to open two locations in Sheboygan but only one ever opened. The south side location opened in the Washington Square Shopping Center while the north side location was proposed for Calumet Drive and North Avenue but never built.
Cousins Subs also plans to open a restaurant next door to the new Starbucks on the site of the former Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant.
