SHEBOYGAN — Plans for the Pentecostals of Sheboygan County to relocate to Sheboygan’s south side have been delayed.
In November 2017, the Pentecostals of Sheboygan County were granted a Conditional Use Permit from the city’s Plan Commission to open a church in the Southtown Mall at South Business Drive and Washington Avenue. The church had sought to relocate to the former Goodwill store.
Nearly four years later, those plans never materialized.
“The church is still looking forward to moving to Southtown Mall when the appropriate time allows,” said Senior Pastor John D. Putnam. “In the meantime, we are still looking for a buyer for our current location to make the buildout possible in the former Goodwill space.”
The Pentecostals of Sheboygan County are currently located at 621 Broadway Street in Sheboygan Falls and has a satellite campus in New Holstein. While the church has not yet relocated to Southtown Mall, the church did open a Youth Center in the strip mall in July.
“We are renting the Youth Center space due to increased growth and lack of adequate square footage in our current location,” added Putnam. “We are excited that in the midst of global pandemic that the church continues to grow!”
In addition to leading the church, Putnam also serves as the Chaplain for the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office.
